The objective of the Country Tax Manager is to oversee all tax matters at the country level for our client, ensuring compliance with tax policies, guidelines, and local regulations. This role involves managing tax affairs for Belgium, Luxembourg, and the Netherlands and handling various tax obligations, including VAT, CIT, WHT, and more. You will be responsible for drafting all relevant calculations and tax filings and ensuring timely fulfillment of tax requirements.
- Manage all tax issues at the country level in adherence to 'our client's tax policies and guidance, process requirements, and work instructions.
- Support and handle tax affairs for Belgium, Luxembourg, and the Netherlands.
- Prepare and draft all relevant tax calculations and filings, including VAT, CIT, WHT, etc., ensuring compliance with tax obligations.
- Coordinate and liaise with external tax advisors for effective tax management.
- Ensure compliance with applicable tax laws and requirements by updating and optimizing internal procedures and manuals.
- Maintain the Transfer Pricing framework and provide necessary documentation based on local legislation and OECD guidelines (e.g., Local files).
- Assist in tax audits when required and manage tax risks proactively.
- Prepare tax calculations for financial reporting purposes.
- Review contracts with tax clauses and provide solution advice to the business team.
- Support the regional tax team in enhancing workflow and operational mechanisms.
- Be adaptable to evolving tasks and duties as per changing business needs.

Dit neem je mee
- At least 5 years of experience as a tax advisor or in-house tax professional.
- Degree in Tax Law, Tax Economics.
- Solid knowledge in VAT, CIT, and transfer pricing. Belgium tax experience is preferred.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English. French, Dutch, or Chinese would be a plus.
- Business sense and entrepreneurship with a hands-on mentality.
- Demonstrate strong commitment, perseverance, and self-initiative.
- Highly structured mind, organized, and able to plan effectively.
- High flexibility and ability to manage multiple tasks, while being target-oriented and able to work under pressure.
Arbeidsvoorwaarden
